Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  1. High in Protein: With the addition of vanilla protein powder and Greek yogurt, this smoothie packs a whopping over 30g of protein per serving, making it perfect for muscle recovery or as a filling breakfast.
  2. Low in Calories: While traditional eggnog can be high in fat and sugar, this version uses almond milk, zero-calorie sweetener, and Greek yogurt to keep it lighter without sacrificing flavor.
  3. Festive Flavors: The combination of nutmeg, cinnamon, and rum extract gives it that classic eggnog taste, but with much fewer calories and fat. You still get that cozy holiday feeling, but in a much more nutritious package.
  4. Quick and Easy: With just a few simple ingredients and a blender, you can whip this smoothie up in less than 5 minutes. It’s a great go-to for busy mornings or as a quick afternoon pick-me-up.

Step-by-Step Instructions

In a blender, add the almond milk, vanilla protein powder, Greek yogurt, nutmeg, cinnamon, rum extract, zero-cal sweetener ice cubes and vanilla extract.

Pour the smoothie into a glass, sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg or light Whipped Cream and enjoy your festive protein-packed treat!

Recipe Notes/Modifications:

  • Adjust the nutmeg and cinnamon to taste. For a stronger spiced flavor, you can increase each by 1/8 tsp.
  • Depending on your sweetener of choice, adjust to taste. You can also add a small amount of maple syrup or honey if you prefer a natural sweetener (not included in macros)
