Here are the Main Ingredients you will need for this recipe:

How to make these Skewers (a Step-by-Step Guide!)
Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, chili flakes, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken chunks in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or preferably up to 2 hours.

Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated chicken, pineapple chunks, bell pepper, and red onion onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients.

Grill the Skewers: Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes. Turning the skewers occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

Glaze with BBQ Sauce: Brush the skewers with BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling, allowing the sauce to caramelize slightly.
Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.

With fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and high-protein macros, our Marinated Pineapple Chicken BBQ Skewers are the ultimate summer dish! As a busy mom, it is one of my absolute favorites!

Recipe Notes and Modifications:
- I used G Hughes Sugar Free Maple Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce for this recipe. Please be aware macros will differ based on brand used.
- The brand of maple syrup I use is Steve Maple Sugar Free Syrup. It tastes amazing!
- If you do not have fresh ginger, you can use pureed ginger for the marinade (use the same amount). You can also use ¼ tsp powdered ginger instead
- If you are using a Traeger BBQ, cook time is the same and equally delicious! Cook at 425 degrees for this recipe.
