Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • High Protein: With a generous amount of protein in each serving, this mousse helps you stay full longer and supports muscle recovery, making it an excellent option for a post-workout snack or a mid-day pick-me-up.
  • Low in Sugar: Sweetened with your choice of sugar-free sweeteners like stevia, erythritol, or monk fruit, this mousse satisfies your sweet tooth without adding extra sugar or calories.
  • Rich & Creamy: The combination of Greek yogurt and light coconut milk creates a silky smooth texture that feels indulgent but is actually good for you.
  • Quick & Easy: With just a few ingredients and minimal prep time, you can whip up this dessert in no time. It’s perfect for when you want something delicious without spending hours in the kitchen.

Here are the Main Ingredients you will Need to Make this Chocolate Coconut Mousse

Step-by-Step Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, combine the plain Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, 10g (2/3) of the shredded coconut and coconut flour. Mix well until the protein powder is fully incorporated.

Gradually stir in the light coconut milk and continue mixing until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Add your preferred sweetener to taste, along with vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly to ensure everything is well blended.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. This allows the mousse to thicken and the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Once chilled, give the mousse another good stir. Divide the mousse between two dessert bowls or glasses. Top with remaining shredded coconut, and optional shredded dark chocolate shavings (not included in macros)

Recipe Notes and Modifications:

  • Whey/casein protein powder is recommended for its texture and flavor, I recommend the Select One PEScience brand, flavour Chocolate Truffle for this recipe.
  • Adjust the sweetener based on your taste preference. I like using monkfruit for this recipe.
  • Store the mousse in an airtight container or cover the dessert bowls/glasses tightly with plastic wrap. It will keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Be sure to give it a quick stir before serving, as it may thicken slightly as it sits
